2013 in Review for the Athabascan Woman Blog

Happy New Year from the Athabascan Woman Blog! The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

In 2013, there were 40 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 63 posts. There were 154 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 79 MB. That’s about 3 pictures per week.

The busiest day of the year was July 26th with 1,100 views. The most popular post that day was Fish Camp Barbie. Thank you to the Alaska Dispatch for the shout out!

What a great year! I look forward to more writing and photography in 2014 of Athabascan life and people…and Alaska Natives in general. I’m always open to topic suggestions. Feel free to contact me with any suggestions or feedback. Do you have a favorite post from the Athabascan Woman blog? Comment below. Ana basee’!

  1. I love that you are doing this and I do want to take the time to read it as it comes up and then catch up to what you have written in the past. I think the stories from the flood in Galena were very moving – especially the story you shared from a lady there who was rescued! Happy New Year! Amy and Doug
P.S. we loved your family picture – Doug noticed that the smiles started small on the left
but when they got to Ermalina they got great!
